Events & community assistant · Remote
An events and community assistant who has run the room, not just the spreadsheet.
I helped plan and run Gather Market, The Wellness Summit and Gather House — brand outreach, onboarding, run-of-show and partner coordination with organisations like Alliance Française and The British Council.

What I take off your plate
The work, listed plainly.
Run-of-show planning
Minute-by-minute schedules, owners assigned, contingencies written before the day.
Vendor and partner coordination
Outreach, onboarding, contracts chased, logistics confirmed.
Brand and exhibitor onboarding
Applications, briefing packs and follow-up — Gather Market grew from 30 to 70+ brands.
Event marketing support
Announcements, emails, social scheduling and registration pages.
On-the-day support
Setup, check-in, floor coordination and the calm problem-solving that keeps guests unaware anything went wrong.
Community programmes
Ongoing member communication and light programming — I helped set up Gather Growth Club for women running small businesses.
- —The event date is fixed and the plan isn't.
- —Partner and vendor emails are piling up unanswered.
- —You need someone who has actually stood at the door on event day.
How a week runs
Steady, not dramatic.
Keeping the calendar honest
Content calendars, campaign timelines, launch dates. I keep one version of the schedule, chase the pieces that are late, and tell you early when something won't land.
Doing the writing and the setup
Drafting blog posts and emails, loading them into WordPress, Shopify, Mailchimp or Klaviyo, checking links and formatting before anything goes out.
Handling people and suppliers
Briefing designers and videographers, onboarding vendors and partners, following up on the emails that would otherwise sit unanswered.
Pulling the numbers together
Weekly and monthly reports from Analytics, Search Console and the CRM, written plainly so insights are easy to understand and act on.
Where I've done it
Three industries, same discipline.

Shekudo
Mar 2024 — Oct 2024
Launches went out on their dates, and the people involved always knew what was expected of them and when.
Community & events
Reclaim Wellness Co.

In their words
People I worked alongside.
Olanike is the person you want on the ground when everything is happening at once. She kept our brand onboarding process calm, organised, and genuinely warm. Vendors trusted her, the schedule held, and the small details — name tags, layouts, follow-ups — never fell through.
